LAYTON — A fire that started in a kitchen caused $75,000 in damage to a Layton home on Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the blaze about 5 p.m., Layton City Fire Department said.

A woman suffered smoke inhalation and received treatment on scene. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but the department says it appears to have been accidental.
