WEST JORDAN — Being a first responder has incredible challenges.
The folks who work for West Jordan Police Department and West Jordan Fire Department know that firsthand. Their jobs can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging, but they can also yield great rewards on both a personal and community scale.
Charging into life and death situations is an awesome responsibility, but the real question posed in this featured video is who is more awesome — West Jordan police or West Jordan Fire Department?
The only way to crown a champion is through a no-holds barred lip sync challenge. Obviously.
Neither department claims the awesomeness for themselves.
They both insist that the other is more awesome, so the battle quickly turns into an interdepartmental romance of the ages.
Is either department good at lip syncing? No. Do any if them have sick dance moves? Also no. Could they ever beat Jimmy Fallon in a lip sync battle? You guessed it, no.
But what they can do is have a great time being goofballs in order to share this light moment with their communities. And even though all the dancing is, frankly, abysmal, keep your eye out for two spectacular dance moves — one “meticulously choreographed” and one spontaneously busted.
I'll let you, dear readers, decide which department is more awesome. Or maybe everything is awesome and everything is cool when you're part of a team.
