SALT LAKE CITY — KSL College Football Pick'em wrapped up its third season as the Alabama edged Georgia 26-23 in overtime to claim the National Championship trophy.

BYU fan Larry Jeffs finished first overall, ending with a Pick'em best 62-14 record and 2,307 points, earning a $500 VISA gift card courtesy Robert J Debry.

"It’s been fun to play each week and I never thought I’d have a chance at first place," Jeffs told KSL.com. "As the last week or so approached, I noticed my overall placement and started to wonder if it would be possible to end up in the top 5 or something like that."

BYU fan Andy Nelson finished second with 2,204 points and Utah fan Ron Johnson finished third with 2,161 points. The overall winners will receive a $500, $250, or $100, respectively, VISA gift card courtesy of Robert J Debry.

That wasn't all for Larry or Andy, who also placed in the top 3 for Bowl week, with Andy finishing first and Larry taking third. Utah fan Cole Freeman finished tied for first, but ultimately took second by a mere two points in the tiebreaker. Bowl week winners will receive a $100, $75 or $50 VISA gift card courtesy of Robert J Debry.

As the receiver hauled in the winning touchdown I muttered something like, 'I still don’t like Bama but they may have won me a major award.'

–Larry Jeffs

"To tell you the truth, I was somewhat indifferent about an all-SEC national championship," Jeffs said. "But (KSL) Pick’em had me interested in the outcome and I found myself enjoying a really entertaining game. As the receiver hauled in the winning touchdown I muttered something like, 'I still don’t like Bama but they may have won me a major award.'"

While Utah fans had the best week during the bowls, it wasn't enough to edge out the Utah State for best overall fan base. Aggie fans finished as the best fan base overall, averaging 21.8 points per game and correctly picking 66 percent of its games. Utah finished a close second with 21.6 points per game and 65 percent correct. And though two BYU fans placed in the top 3 overall, Cougar fans finished third with 20.7 points and just 64 percent correct.
