OGDEN — One man was in critical condition and two other men had minor injuries after a crash in Ogden Canyon on Friday afternoon.

A sports car and a pickup truck crashed head-on at about 4:35 p.m. in the canyon, Weber County Fire District Capt. Oliver Cummings said.

One man was extricated from the sports car, Cummings said. Three patients were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

State Route 39 through Ogden Canyon was closed in both directions for several hours on Friday afternoon as crews cleaned up the crash scene.

Cummings did not provide ages or names of the people involved in the crash. He said the cause of the crash was still being investigated as of Friday evening.
