SALT LAKE CITY — Two more stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

Passing away peacefully

Patrick Killebrew, a 68-year-old Virginia resident, was a pretty big Washington Nationals fan. The adjective "die-hard" might be a little extreme in this case, though, because Killebrew died last week thanks to the Nationals' bullpen giving up another lead. Here's the obituary:

KILLEBREW, Patrick, "Pat," age 68, passed away peacefully at home, June 20, 2017, after watching the Washington Nationals relief pitchers blow yet another lead. Beloved father and husband, longtime attorney, former U.S. Navy Navigator and avid baseball fan and player. Join in a celebration of his life July 2, 6 to 8 p.m., at the SCA Clubhouse, 9601 Redbridge Rd., 23236. In lieu of flowers, send "donations" to the "Nationals Bullpen Fund."

While it wasn't quite a blown lead, the bullpen did it again Monday night, as they allowed four runs in the last two innings to the Cubs, ruining a 4-run ninth inning comeback attempt by the Nats. Washington, the home team, lost 5-4.

Oladipo nutmeg

This is a pretty impressive dribble move by this 12-year-old, who attended a basketball camp against Oklahoma City Thunder guard Victor Oladipo. Given the chance, he dribbles between Oladipo's legs and appears to catch one of the NBA's best perimeter defenders legitimately off guard.
