TAYLORSVILLE — Unified police officers are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who robbed a credit union Friday morning.
The robbery occurred at 11:10 a.m. at Cyprus Credit Union, 5750 S. Redwood Road. Police believe the man may have had a firearm under his shirt during the robbery.
Officials did not release specific information about how the robbery occurred or if anyone was injured.
Police believe the same man has robbed two other banks.
The robber is described as a Caucasian man in his mid-20s. Police said he was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, blue baseball hat, sunglasses, black or blue basketball shorts and dark blue tennis shoes. Police said the man is considered armed and dangerous.
Officials said the man’s description matches a that of an armed man who robbed a Metro PCS store in West Valley City an hour before the credit union robbery. No additional details on that robbery have been released.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Unified Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit at 385-468-9814.
