WEST HAVEN — Police identified a man Monday who was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in West Haven.

Scott Robinson, 47, of West Valley City, and another motorcyclist were riding eastbound near the intersection of 800 West and 21st Street just before 2:45 p.m. when a rental van attempted to make a U-turn in front of them, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office. The turning van forced the motorcycle riders to lay their bikes down, causing the crash.

Robinson died at the scene and the other motorcyclist, a 44-year-old man, was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital, officials said. Updates on his condition were not released Monday.

The crash is still under investigation and any possible charges are pending, the sheriff’s office said.
