RIVERTON — A man was found dead in a residential pool in Riverton on Sunday.

A family member found the body of Greg Lunkwitz, 59, in a pool located at 12934 Croix Circle, according to Unified police detective Chuck Malm.

Malm said Lunkwitz wasn't responding to his wife's calls, so she sent someone to check on him.

The detective said the drowning appeared to be accidental, and no foul play was suspected. Still, the state medical examiner will check Lunkwitz's body in hopes of bringing some closure to his family.

"We're hoping to get a conclusion for them, as far as that goes, but by all accounts there's nothing suspicious that occurred here," Malm said.

Police aren't ruling anything out, though they're unsure how Lunkwitz got into the pool.
