CHULILLA, Spain — Today I learned that Spain has some of the best rock climbing locations in the world, but not all cliffs are as sturdy as they look.

Chulilla, Spain, home to more than 800 climbing routes, is a bit of a mecca for some rock climbers. The area is characterized by beautiful green hills and steep limestone cliffs that were shaped by the Turia river. It's also the location where this terrifying video was filmed.

The video features a man climbing near the top of one of Chulilla's cliffs. The pressure mounts when he reaches what looks like a tool into a crack of what appears in the video to be a solid, sturdy section of the mountain.

And gives it a few tugs.

Suddenly, a large portion of the mountain then comes crashing down, just inches away from him.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

While this may be nothing for experienced climbers and daredevils, my heart was pounding just watching the video. I can't imagine what it would feel like to be hanging by a rope while boulders crumbled to dust within arms' length of my face. Intentional rockfall or not, I think this guy can probably say he's grateful to have survived this intense ordeal.

Watch the video, enjoy the intensity and if you're heading out to rock climb soon, maybe brush up on some safety tips first.
