SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police are asking the public’s help in a home invasion robbery case that involved two men allegedly bounding and pistol whipping a woman Thursday morning.

At approximately 8:49 a.m., South Salt Lake police were dispatched to the area of 200 East Truman Ave. (2335 South) on a robbery call.

When police arrived at a home in the area, a 31-year-old female victim told officers two dark skinned men entered the home, then bound her with duct tape and pistol-whipped her.

The men left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police said the woman received a laceration, bumps and bruises from the assault, and was transported to the hospital by family. Police determined that the men entered the house through a basement window.

A neighbor reported seeing two men driving away eastbound on Truman Ave. in a light gray or white compact 4-door, passenger car.

Police describe the suspects as dark-skinned men in their 20s, with one of the men wearing a gray sweater.

Anyone with any information about the crime or the men involved is asked to call South Salt Lake police dispatch at 801-840-4000. Police said all calls are considered confidential and callers can remain anonymous.
