FARMINGTON — A man robbed a credit union in Farmington Wednesday morning after waiting outside for it to open and then walking in with employees.

The man arrived at Utah First Credit Union, located at 1173 Shepard Creek Parkway, sometime before 8 a.m. and waited for employees to arrive, according to Farmington police. Once the employees opened the door, the man entered the building with them and pulled out a small, black handgun.

He stole some money and a dye pack inserted in the money, then fled on foot. Police responded to reports of the robbery and found the handgun at the scene.

The man is described as being a white male between the ages of 25 and 30, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and having a slender build of about 150 pounds. He was wearing black gloves, a gray mask, black sunglasses with orange lenses, a baseball cap, a gray hoodie with an animal logo on the left breast, Adidas pants with stripes halfway down the legs and gray and purple running shoes.

No employees were injured in the incident, and the Farmington Police Department is still searching for the suspect.

Anyone with information can contact the Farmington Police Department at 801-451-5453.

More information will be released as it is received.
