SALT LAKE CITY — There's just something about the Utah Jazz hitting the court. They are a team with history. On Wednesday, one of their biggest fans was at the arena.

"Sometimes they lose but it's OK," said Joe.

Winning and losing don't really matter to Joe.

"Whenever I see the Jazz (on TV) I keep it on," he said.

Watching the Jazz on TV is as close as he's been to the guys he looks up to so much.

"I told my dad to buy me a basketball and I practice every day," he said.

That was a long time ago. Joe still practices every day, but he no longer lives with his biological mother and father.

"They did something bad," Joe said. "I'm not going to go into details, but I still love them and I don't hate them."

This 18-year-old boy now lives in foster care, but he doesn't want your sympathy.

"It's all right," he said. "It doesn't both me. I'm over it."

However, there is something he needs.

"If I get adopted I can have my parents support me if I need them," he said.

Parents, something every child deserves.

"Yeah, that would be nice."

Joe will probably always love the Utah Jazz, but he is looking to his future and hoping life without a family will soon be lost to history.

"I want to just say to people if you don't have a kid, here is a kid for you who is respectful and who is honest," Joe sad.
