WEST JORDAN — A man who prosecutors say had three wives and had them refer to him as "Lord," has been charged with plotting to kill a 14-year-old girl whom he was convicted of sexually abusing.

Kain Blackwing, 47, whose current address is listed as the Beaver County Jail in court documents, was charged Thursday with three counts of solicitation for aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder. All charges are first-degree felonies.

The bizarre and complicated string of events began in 2014 when Blackwing was charged with forcible sexual abuse. The victim was a 14-year-old girl.

Four days before the girl was scheduled to testify against Blackwing in court, two women described as dressing like ninjas because they wore all black — including black masks and black latex gloves, and who were armed with a variety of items including a stun gun, a knife, a large piece of Saran wrap, matches, a screwdriver, syringes, an arm tourniquet and formalin — broke into the West Jordan house where the girl was staying.

Following a struggle, two adults in the house were able to successfully detain the women and hold them until police arrived.

Those women, ages 19 and 22, were charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and retaliation against a witness or victim, and were later convicted. One woman was sentenced to probation, which she successfully completed. The other, Raven Blackwing, now 24, was sentenced to serve up to 15 years in the Utah State Prison.

Kain Blackwing was convicted of sexually abusing the young girl.

Then in 2015, he was charged in a separate case with seven counts of rape, forcible sodomy and three counts of forcible sexual abuse. The alleged victim in that case is one of the women convicted of breaking into the house.

That woman met Kain Blackwing when she was 17. He taught her "fighting and survival skills," according to police. Blackwing allegedly told her that he was a "Shen lord" and a god, and demanded that his wives call him "Lord." Blackwing also told the teen that "if he ever bonded with a woman she became his and the only way out of the relationship was death," charging documents state.

The relationship between Blackwing and the 17-year-old became sexual, and he soon claimed her as one of three wives, according to the charges. The next court hearing in that case is scheduled for Feb. 28.

Now, Blackwing and Theresa Baker, 25 — who also goes by the name Diana Blackwing — are accused of orchestrating the 2014 home invasion using the two women who were convicted, in order to kill the 14-year-old girl and two others. Baker faces identical charges as Blackwing.

The two women convicted in the home invasion told investigators that they were instructed by Blackwing to kill the three people in the house, including the young girl he raped, "because he was convinced that if (the girl) were dead, the authorities would have to release him," the charges state.

For 11 weeks, Blackwing and Baker planned a scheme to suffocate the young girl with the plastic wrap and then make it look like the other two adults in the house died of a heroin overdose, according to charging documents.

During those 11 weeks, the three women and Blackwing used code to talk about the plot, referring to it as "playing a video game," according to the charges. They developed code names for their alleged targets, including "Juggernaut," "Boss," "Guards" and "Target."

The women allegedly kept surveillance on the house for several weeks, which raised the suspicion of one of the intended targets who saw one of the women one night and recognized her. The two women are not charged in connection with the alleged murder plot.
