MONTREAL — Located in the province of Quebec, the Canadian city of Montreal averages about 82.5 inches of snowfall a year, according to CurrentResults.com.

While residents and city planners are prepared for the challenges that icy roads and snow-laden streets present, that’s not always enough to keep accidents from happening — a concept with which Utahns are keenly familiar.

On Monday, a snow storm caused some real havoc on Côte du Beaver Hall and Viger Street when two buses, numerous cars, a police vehicle and even a snow plow/salt truck were unable to come to a complete stop due to icy conditions.

In a video compiled by Willem Shepherd, viewers can only watch with anxiety as vehicle after vehicle slides down the road — sometimes the wrong way. When a police car responds to the site of the accidents, even that driver ends up part of the report instead of taking one.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

In an irony of ironies, a snow plow begins to slowly skid down the road, ultimately crashing into the turned around police car with a pronounced bang!

Luckily, there were only minor injuries as a result of the crash, according to CBC News.

As snow falls on Utah streets, the video serves as an extra reminder to slow down and be mindful of road conditions.
