SALT LAKE CITY — A man was hit and killed by a TRAX train in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening, fire officials said.
The man was hit near 1700 S. 200 West. He was pronounced dead at the scene according to Jasen Asay, spokesman for the Salt Lake City Fire Department.
It is unclear why the man was on the tracks when he was hit. The road was closed in both directions while the scene was investigated.
