SALT LAKE CITY — You've heard the saying, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day."

While we all love a hot breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon, most of us are on the go in the morning, thus we grab cereal for a quick breakfast.

Who doesn’t love a bowl of their favorite cereal for breakfast? Why stop at breakfast? Cereal makes a satisfying alternative for lunch, dinner or a great snack.

In this list, we’re asking you to tell us which is your favorite cereal. Some of the cereals on the list are all-time classics, while others are newer favorites.

To make the list a bit more balanced, we are only listing cereals still in production. Sorry, Mr. T cereal, Quisp, Pac-Man cereal, and Grins & Smiles & Giggles & Laughs (yes, that was the name of a 1970s cereal.)

And the nominees are:

Cap’n Crunch

Cheerios

Chex

Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Cocoa Puffs

Corn Flakes

Corn Pops

Golden Crisp

Golden Grahams

Frosted Mini Wheats

Frosted Flakes

Froot Loops
