LAND OF NETFLIX — Have you ever seen a movie so bad you just couldn’t look away? Or better yet have you found yourself entertained by and enjoying how bad the movie is?

Netflix has hundreds of movies to choose from. I can’t tell you how many times I have spent most of the evening searching for a movie to watch, only to realize how bad it is 10 minutes in. So I turn it off and do something crazy like reading instead.

Every once in awhile though, you find yourself enthralled with just how bad the movie is that you just can’t turn away. Here are five movies currently streaming on Netflix that will do just that.

"The Wicker Man"

Nicholas Cage. Need I say more? Okay I will.

So I will admit, I actually saw this movie in the theater in 2006. My friends and I were pretty bored one night and thought that was our best choice for entertainment, not knowing much about the remake. Well, much to our surprise, we thought we were going to see some type of horror film, but ended up laughing our heads off. The entire theater was dying of laughter, and trust me, this was not meant to be a comedy.

Nicholas Cage’s over-the-top performance is beyond fantastic. The movie starts out slow, but trust me, once it gets going, you will want to finish it. The ending has quotable lines that me and my friends still quote and make fun of today.

"Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey"

This movie is the sequel to the beloved “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” I am amazed how many people did not know there was a sequel or maybe it is they didn’t care.

Here's the plot and if this doesn’t make you want to see, it I don’t know what will. Two evil robots from the future that look like Bill and Ted are sent back in time and kill Bill and Ted. Bill and Ted then have to defeat the Grim Reaper in games like Clue and Twister to be brought back to life to stop the evil robots from ruining their music career.

(Please refrain from not reading the rest of this article in order to rush over to your Ipad to start this movie.)

"Over the Top"

The 1980s. What a glorious time in filmmaking. Throw in some Sylvester Stallone and a soundtrack featuring songs by artists like Kenny Loggins, and you have yourself a recipe for an awesomely bad movie.

The movie centers around a truck driver, played by Stallone, who is determined to win back his son’s love by winning the world arm wrestling championship. Not only is there a cash prize for the winner, but the winner also gets a new semitruck because apparently, all good arm wrestlers are truck drivers.

Stallone has given us some great movies over the years, but he has also had some pretty bad ones that are unbearable to watch. Luckily for you, this is one so bad, you will find yourself rooting for one man to be able to pin another man’s arm down all in the sake of winning his son’s love back.

"Big Trouble in Little China"

Just so you know, I love this movie. I watch it at least once a year. I think it’s a classic. That being said, this is a bizarre movie and in all honesty, not a great movie. What the movie is though is crazy entertaining.

I don’t even know how to describe this one. Like "Over the Top," it centers around a trucker, but this time he gets dragged into a centuries-old mystical battle in San Francisco’s Chinatown. Probably the less you know about this film before watching, the better. Directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell, this movie has some awful movie effects and a bizarre storyline that will keep you engaged until the end.

"Sharknado"

"Sharknado" is probably the most notorious, awesomely bad movie in the last decade. Made for the Syfy Channel, this movie centers around a freak cyclone that hits Los Angeles, causing man-eating sharks to be scooped up in water spouts and floods the city with shark-infested seawater.

You would think a movie like this would require a huge budget for some CGI and elaborate sets. Well, they definitely didn’t have much of a budget to pull off either. Add in some horrible acting and some of the worst dialogue you have ever heard and you have yourself a recipe for a good time.

If you are still craving more after “Sharknado” is over, you are in luck. Netflix is also streaming "Sharknado 2: The Second One" and Sharknado 3.

What awesomely bad movies have you seen on Netflix? Let us know in the comments.
