SALT LAKE CITY — Nature is a fickle thing.

It can produce gorgeous sunsets and then produce tornadoes shortly after. It just so happens that we had both this last week, and residents submitted photos of each.

The tornado touched down Friday near Highway 12 between Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon in Garfield County, according to the National Weather Service. Though tornadoes aren't completely uncommon to Utah, they are rare to Garfield County. Luckily, no one was hurt and no damage was reported.

We have also seen some gorgeous sunsets and sunrises this past week, as summer draws to a close. Several residents sent in incredible photos of the brilliant colors.
