Little League coach/dad goes to the mound to tell his pitcher/son he loves him

When your dad is the coach of your sports team, it could be a lot of pressure on a child. For a coach’s son, the journey of playing on your dad’s team could either be a good one or not.

For Isaiah Jensen, pitcher for the Oregon team in this year’s Little League World Series, he has a dad/coach who never forgets what’s most important: A father’s love and support toward his son.

During the top of the fifth inning during Oregon’s game against Italy, Oregon manager Joel Jensen asked the umpire to visit the mound to talk to his pitcher/son. While many would assume the manager was on his way to talk strategy with his pitcher, Joel went to the mound to tell his son he loved him and to have fun.

How great is that? Simply awesome.

Oregon would go on to beat Italy, 6-2. Isaiah Jensen only allowed two hits in 4 1/3 innings pitched.

Joel Jensen, you are a very good Little League coach, but an even better dad. Isaiah must definitely be proud of you, just like you are proud of him.

Josh Norman talks smack about Demaryius Thomas; Thomas quiets Norman with one photo and question

In an ESPN the Magazine interview released Tuesday, former Carolina Panthers and current Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman talks a big game, including ripping NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Another player Norman talked about was Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

Norman faced off against Thomas in Super Bowl 50, holding the Broncos WR to eight yards on one catch the entire game. Speaking about Thomas’ performance in the big game, Norman said, “I don’t know what he was out there for … He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down.”

Despite Josh Norman’s performance, the Panthers lost to the Broncos in Super Bowl 50, and on Tuesday, Thomas reminded Norman of that with one tweet.

Apply cold water to yourself, Mr. Norman, because Demaryius Thomas just burned you.

South Korean Little League team celebration pays homage to Usain Bolt

With the Olympics still fresh in our memories, it should be no surprise that kids want to emulate one of the stars of said games.

During the Little League World Series on Monday, one team decided to pay tribute to arguably the greatest runner in Olympic history.

After a home run by a Korean player, the entire team celebrated by breaking out the Usain Bolt celebration pose.

Some may say it’s showing off and not necessary, especially since South Korea was beating team Canada already. But reaching the Little League World Series isn’t easy, so shouldn’t the kids be allowed to have fun and celebrate as a team? ![](https://beacon.deseretconnect.com/beacon.gif?cid=433004&pid=4)
