WEST JORDAN — A 31-year-old Millcreek woman is dead after a two-vehicle accident on Redwood Road Friday afternoon, police said.

Emergency crews responded to a report of an accident near 6700 S. Redwood Road at approximately 2 p.m., according to West Jordan police officer Scott List.

List said the woman was driving a green car traveling northbound on Redwood Road, when witnesses told investigators that she attempted to make a U-turn in front of a white truck traveling in the same direction.

The truck hit the green car and the woman in the green car was killed, List said. The driver of the truck, also a 31-year-old woman, was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in good condition. Their names were not immediately released.

List said police are still investigating the accident.

The crash closed Redwood Road in both directions from 7200 South to 6200 South for more than three hours. It reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
