ZENVILLE — Forget doing yoga or meditating to calm yourself down. Instead, kick back and enjoy watching a masterpiece materialize in the most beautiful way.

Watching the video Van Gogh on Dark Water Animation nearly transports a person to Europe as they are slowly lulled into a trance by melancholy classical music while witnessing Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” coming into fruition again.

At the beginning of the video, watered-down paint is gently poured and then stirred into a bowl before being transported to what looks like a hollow canvas. It is after that that the viewer is basically taken inside the coolest painting to ever happen.

Yesterday's HYST?

With the water as his canvas, the brilliant artist splatters, swirls and manipulates his medium until it forms the iconic stars, trees and houses that appear in the famous original. But that’s not all. Once his masterpiece is complete, the artist destroys it with a swirl of his brush before continuing to create another masterpiece, this time a portrait of Van Gogh. His work is then transferred to paper, and the results are astounding.

Viewing this video may make you feel more artsy and educated, or at the very least, soothed and satisfied.
