MAGNA — A woman's death was being investigated as suspicious at a Magna home Tuesday night, police said.

Officers were called to the home at 7715 W. Jefferson Road around 7:45 p.m. and began interviewing family members and neighbors about the 24-year-old woman's death, Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell confirmed.

Emergency responders initially went to the home believing they were responding to a possible suicide, Bell said.

"Upon looking around and adding up a few things that they saw in the house, things just didn’t seem right. … Something just seemed off," he said.

The lieutenant said police were still waiting Tuesday night for a search warrant to enter the home.

An immediate family member called authorities to report coming home to find the woman dead, Bell said.

No other details about the incident, including the woman's name, were released Tuesday night.
