ORANGEVILLE, Emery County — A Sandy motorcyclist was killed near Joe's Valley Reservoir on Sunday.

Jeramy Stephan, 28, was riding about 9 p.m. just north of the reservoir when investigators believe he "misjudged a curve in the road," according to the Emery County Sheriff's Office.

Stephan, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered head trauma, according to the sheriff's office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
