SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Republican candidate for governor Jonathan Johnson hasn't decided if he'll support presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Johnson told The Associated Press on Thursday that he's too busy running his own campaign and has not had time to consider whether he'll support Trump.
Johnson, the chairman of the board at Overtsock.com, endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz in March. Cruz dropped out of the race this week.
Johnson says it's a fair question to ask if he'll support Trump but repeatedly would not answer, saying he hasn't had time to think about it.
His uncertainty mirrors Republican rival Gov. Gary Herbert, who also backed Cruz and shied away this week from saying whether he'd back Trump.
Herbert says he wants to learn more about the billionaire candidate's policies and values.
