OGDEN, Utah (AP) — After eight years of taking a day off on Sunday, the FrontRunner train will help shuttle commuters to an air show at Hill Air Force Base on both weekend days next month.
The Standard-Examiner reports that the Utah Transit Authority's commuter rail line will serve both days for the Warriors Over the Wasatch open house and air show on June 25 and 26.
Organizers expect some 650,000 visitors to attend the show and say it can be very hard to funnel so many visitors through the base's two entry points, especially if they're all driving.
A portion of private funds raised for the air show will be used to pay UTA to run the FrontRunner on Sunday. The train has run at past air shows, but only on Saturday.
