SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz Summer League is back, though with a twist: a venue change in the middle of the event.
This year, the league's first two days (July 4-5) will be played at Vivint Arena in downtown Salt Lake City, but then will be moved to the Huntsman Center on the campus of the University of Utah for the final day (July 7). July 6 will be a break day.
Vivint Arena had a previously scheduled event, which was booked over a year ago, for July 7 that prevented games being played on that day.
The same four teams as last year will participate: the Boston Celtics, the Philadelphia 76ers, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Utah Jazz. Each team will play three games, one against each of the other three teams.
Last year, the Jazz went 3-0 in their competition in the league. The return of summer league ball in Utah saw 31,751 fans attend in the three-day competition.
Tickets will go on sale on May 18.
