SALT LAKE CITY — It’s impossible to recap one of the best days in NBA history, but here is just a short attempt.

The Golden State Warriors became the first team in NBA history to win 73 games in a single season, surpassing the Chicago Bulls’ record of 72 wins set in the 1995-96 season. But it was Kobe Bryant, the Black Mamba, scoring 60 points in his final game of his career that had everyone talking.

The night started out with a touching tribute to Kobe, recapping his dominant and ultimately competitive career.

The Jazz, who took a backseat to the special night, controlled much of the game until Kobe decided to give it his all in the final minutes of the game. Nearly every shot attempt in the final few minutes of the game came from Kobe, who broke the all-time field goal attempt record by putting up 50 shots!

“What’s funny — the thing that had me cracking up all night long — the fact that I go through 20 years of everybody screaming to pass the ball, and then the last night they’re like, ‘Don’t pass it!’ ” Kobe said following the game.

To watch all 60 points scored from Kobe, here it is:

Warriors make history

Sure, the Black Mamba dropped 60 points, but 73 wins in a single season is no joke. It's a record so unattainable that only the Bulls and Warriors have managed to get past 70 wins in league history. It's also a seemingly impossible record to beat … until the Warriors do it again next season.

Steph Curry and bunch are a fantastic group that appears destined for another NBA Championship. But getting past the 72-win mark was always the first goal, whether they’d like to openly admit it or not.

As if winning 73 games in one season was not enough, Curry scored 46 points and his 400th 3-pointer (actually finished with 402) of the season, which is so much more than any NBA player in history. Just look at the graph in the tweet below, which tells the entire story.

The Warriors have been a treat to watch all season, and there’s no reason to doubt they’ll continue the show in the upcoming playoff games.

Big night for Delon Wright

For much of his rookie season, former Utah guard Delon Wright has bounced around the D-League and the Toronto Raptors. Several talented guards have been ahead of Wright in the lineup and playing time has been hit and miss.

On Wednesday, though, Wright got his time to shine as a starter and made the most of it. The Raptors beat the Brooklyn Nets 103-96, and Wright finished the night with 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

He also had a nice behind-the-back assist to Terrence Ross for an easy dunk.
