The NFL Draft Combine ended Monday with defensive backs and safeties being the last groups evaluated. Southern Utah had two players perform Monday, while Utah had one.

Here are their results.

Miles Killebrew, Southern Utah, S

40-yard dash: 4.65 (12th of 16 safety participants)

Bench-press reps: 22 (1st of 18)

Vertical jump: 38 inches (tied 2nd of 15)

Broad jump: 127 inches (3rd of 16)

Analysis: In NFL.com's scouting report of Killebrew, they say that he "has the frame to be considered as a hybrid linebacker on the pro level." Killebrew's strength and his reputation for laying the wood on receivers will help him play that position in the pros. While his 40-time was below average for safeties, he performed very well on the bench-press and the jumping measures. Killebrew's performance can only help his draft stock.

LeShaun Sims, Southern Utah, CB

40-yard dash: 4.53 seconds (21st of 32 participating cornerbacks)

Bench-press reps: 11 (tied for 22nd of 29)

Vertical jump: 37 inches (tied for 8th of 31)

Broad jump: 120 inches (22nd of 31)

Analysis: NFL.com states that Sims ran "a verified 4.41 (40-yard dash) in the spring." His time at the combine was a good deal slower than that. Sims' strength is supposed to be his ability to muscle up receivers, but he didn't perform well at the one measurement evaluating strength. Overall, it was not a good performance for the young defensive back.

Tevin Carter, Utah, S

40-yard dash: Did not participate

Bench-press reps: 19 (2nd of 16 safety participants)

Vertical jump: Did not participate

Broad jump: Did not participate

Analysis: NFL.com says that Carter will have numerous defensive coordinators looking at him for the draft due to his athleticism. However, the site acknowledges that "his cover skills and technique are a bit of a mess as a safety." There's nothing Carter could have done to disprove that sentiment in his combine performance. The only event he participated in was bench-press, and he scored well, finishing second for safeties. Carter will have something to prove in terms of being a polished safety during his pro day.
