SALT LAKE CITY — Welcome to today's From Left Field! Here are four fun clips from the world of sports today.

1. Rodney Hood and Gordon Hayward hit big shots to win seven in a row for the Jazz.

The Utah Jazz are currently the toast of the NBA-watching nation after winning their seventh straight game Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

But it wouldn't have turned out that way if it weren't for the shots of Rodney Hood and Gordon Hayward. Here's Rodney Hood's difficult three to send the game to overtime:

and here's Hayward's game-winner at the overtime buzzer.

We'd include these in From Left Field these shots no matter which team made them, so that it was the hometown Jazz made it extra sweet. The Jazz take on the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday night.

2. Gregg Popovich's reaction to the election results

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich did his typical surly between-quarter interview during his team's TNT game Tuesday night, but David Aldridge threw Popovich a curve ball, asking if he'd like to hear the election results from New Hampshire's primaries.

Popovich was dismayed.

3\. Sanders hoops while waiting for primary results ==================================================

The irony of the above is that while Popovich was shaking his head at the results, Bernie Sanders was playing basketball at a New Hampshire gym. He's got pretty good form from that one spot, making every single shot.

I'll be honest: I didn't expect the 74-year-old Sanders to be the best basketballer of this nomination cycle.

4. Super Bowl 50 field leaves something to be desired

Both teams have talked about the condition of the Santa Clara field as a factor in last Sunday's big contest, but it's taken until today for this video to make it to the forefront.

Michael Oher, who you may remember from "The Blind Side", is playing left tackle here. Watch as he never gets complete footing, so he slides like ice on the turf.

Oher's a big man, too, so the physics involved here are pretty incredible.
