THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE — The Piano Guys are not just local celebrities anymore. The talented musicians from Utah are now national darlings with over 4.5 million YouTube subscribers. As if they weren't popular enough they decided to do a cello cover of Adele's "Hello," and I'm willing to bet that subscriber list continues to grow.
It's no surprise that Steve Sharp Nelson is phenomenal on his cello, but it's even more impressive when he plays all the parts to this mash-up of Adele and Mozart. That's right, this song is a collaboration of "Hello" and "Lacrimosa" from Mozart's Requiem.
The song is haunting and beautiful, and Nelson's precision artistry adds to the mystery of the tune.
In just a few days this video has already amassed more than 3 million page views, so odds are you already have seen this. But this post is more along the lines of, "Don't you want to see this again?" as opposed to "Have you seen this?"
And we all know the answer to that first question is yes.
