WEST VALLEY CITY — It's been a very lousy week for the Graham family of West Valley City.

On Monday, the family's van was stolen from their driveway. Nicole Graham had gone out to her car to warm it up, but when she walked back into her house to grab her children, she heard a loud commotion outside.

"I heard my door slam and looked out the window and said 'Oh, my gosh, they are driving away with the van,'" she said.

The family said luckily nothing of value was in the van, just a couple of car seats and strollers for their young children. As a precaution, they changed their locks on the front door since a set of keys were in the stolen car.

They learned four days later that the thieves weren't done. Using the same keychain, the thieves stole the family's second car.

"These guys are driving around watching for running cars and they are probably marking down the time we leave," Eric Graham said.

Nicole Graham posted a message on Facebook asking her friends for help finding at least one of their vehicles. In minutes, she got a response.

"Probably 10 or 15 minutes later I get an email and this lady says I just saw your car," she said. "So I sent her a message asking her to call me. She did and told me where it was."

They found the car four and a half blocks away from their home. The only problem, it was dead.

"It had broken down that's why they left it. I don't think they would've left it," Nicole Graham said.

The family is still looking for their second vehicle, a dark gray Kia Sedona.

Their suggestion to drivers: Don't keep different sets of car keys on the same keychain.
