WEST VALLEY CITY — A West Valley City woman is asking for help finding her stolen vehicle and the ashes that were inside it.
Shiela Bunn said the ashes of her parents ashes were on the front seat of her Toyota 4Runner when it was stolen Wednesday.
The vehicle was parked at the Smith's store where she works, located at 5620 W. 4100 South.
The ashes were in two urns. Bunn planned to go to a mortuary after work to have the ashes combined, so they could be scattered in Hawaii and Oregon, but when she walked to the parking lot, her Toyota was gone.
"I've parked here for 15 years. I couldn't believe it was the day I had my parents ashes with me. I just was in shock," she said.
The vehicle is a 1987 white Toyota 4Runner with license plate Y38ODY.
Anyone who sees it is asked to contact the West Valley City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
