SALT LAKE CITY — We all know the real reason Americans watch the Super Bowl: the commercials.

And of course it's rare for someone to resist eating a crunchy, cheesy Dorito chip after the delicious treat has starred in a great commercial.

Once again, filmmakers around the world were invited to submit their 30-second videos in hopes of winning $1 million from the DORITOS brand Global Crash the Super Bowl Ad Contest, according to the website.

Winning videos have previously come from the Beehive State, and Utahns are continuing to step up to the plate to vie for the prize.

Competitors were permitted to send in up to 10 videos, according to Crash the Super Bowl.

Contest semifinalists will be announced in December, but in the meantime, check out the following videos that were filmed in Utah.

"Zombie Crash:" Apparently, even zombie's enjoy Doritos. Watch chaos ensue when zombie's takeover a neighborhood in "Zombie Crash," which was filmed in Orem.

"How Could You NOT See Me:" Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese team up to create a friendship that at first seems unlikely in "How Could You NOT See Me," a video filmed in Orem.

"Encounters of a Bold Kind:" Aliens will travel all the way to Earth to snag some Nacho Cheese Doritos in "Encounters of a bold kind," which was filmed in Tooele.

"Music is the Key to Everything:" Some people do some pretty cool things to get their hands on some Doritos, including this girl in "Music is the Key to Everything," which was filmed in Draper.

"YOYO SNATCH:" It looks like you've got to play it smooth to claim the last Dorito in the bag, according to "YOYO SNATCH," a video filmed in Orem.

"I'll Take My Chances:" Witness true love and devotion for Doritos when this man doesn't stop eating, even while hiding from an intruder in "I'll Take My Chances," which was filmed in Provo.
