DOWN THE AISLE — Weddings can be expensive. There are distant cousins to feed, flowers to buy and a big white dress the bride will only wear once to purchase.

Savvy wedding planners will cut corners where they can in order to not make the newlyweds' only honeymoon option a trip to exotic Reno, Nevada. That five-tier cake can become three. A dove release can easily be replaced by a tasteful confetti toss. And the wedding music? Just get anyone to melodically coax the bride down the aisle.

It's unclear in this video posted to YouTube why a trumpet became the instrument of choice for this poor girl's wedding march. There's a good chance it was a friend, relative or man on the street begging to work as a trumpeter to fulfill some lifelong dream.

Either way, the not-so-dulcet sounds of Mendelssohn's march being belted by an unskilled brass player is a lot to take in. Bless the wedding party in general for not devolving into hysterics during those painful 60 seconds.

Note to self: Do not skimp on the musicians on your wedding day.
