THE GREAT OUTDOORS — This weekly column highlights user-submitted photos and video of Utahns exploring our beautiful state. Watch for it each Thursday morning to get ideas for your next outdoors adventure.
Utah is home to five national parks, 43 state parks and several national monuments and forests, giving Utahns a large variety of landscapes to explore and different outdoor recreation opportunities. No matter where you live in Utah, you likely live within an hour of a public campground or canyon. Even with the weather getting colder, there are still opportunities to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
Whether you are into mountain biking, fourwheeling, boating, snowboarding, hiking or hunting, Utah can accommodate your outdoors needs — and we'd love to see photos of you in action. Send pictures or video of your outdoors activities in Utah's backcountry to fjolley@ksl.com. We'd love to highlight your adventures.
