SALT LAKE CITY — For those looking for true love on Tinder, there's a lot of pressure to snap some attractive photos.

Saturday, a group of friends from Salt Lake City decided to use a trip to IKEA as the perfect photo opportunity for their accounts, and now they're winning the Internet.

Kevin Routson took photos of his friends as they posed in various picture-perfect offices and kitchens in the store.

"... They were just doing these poses and just acting like just idiots in IKEA and we snapped some photos and they just turned out actually to be great," Routson said. "The lighting in there is just perfect for photos."

Routson posted the photos to Imgur on Wednesday along with some comments to "add some flavor to the thread."

Those comments include "Reading is the essence of knowledge and knowledge is the essence of having many leather-bound books" and "Girls like guys who Internet, right?"

It was Routson's friend Theary Orn who came up with the idea.

Orn hasn't uploaded his photo to his Tinder profile yet, but he thinks it will help him get more dates.

"… I'm not one to take a lot of selfies, so it's kind of hard to come by decent pictures of myself," Orn said.

All the men featured in the photos are single, Routson said, though he doesn't know if their dating lives have taken off yet. Routson himself is a little bugged his face isn't in the photos, but he's OK with it.

"When you look at Tinder, the social app, it's really about your pictures and some people will read your bio, but really if you have good pictures on there and you look interesting then girls are going to reach out to you too," Routson said.
