CHILDHOOD — Nothing quite sticks with you like the experiences and memories of childhood.
The smell of crayons will always conjure great memories, Mr. Rogers will always be my hero and I will forever watch "The Goonies" every year, to name a few.
That's why this supercut called "Movie Kids and Their Best Friends" is a compelling watch; it all has to do with that nostalgic street, Memory Lane. If this sounds maudlin, you're correct, it is. The video takes us through scenes of burgeoning friendships, good times and the hardships all these movie friends go through, as well as enough scenes of resolution to lift your mood and your day.
I will be the first to admit that some of the choices — like "The Terminator" and "Transformers" — seem odd. But hey, the two men behind the video are reliving their childhoods, not mine.
