ALPINE — Lone Peak's football team knows it will enter Friday night's game at Timpview as a heavy underdog.

But that's fine with the Knights.

Lone Peak (1-0) will try to knock down Timpview (1-0) on Friday at 7 p.m. in a non-region battle of top 10 teams in the latest Deseret News poll.

For Lone Peak senior receiver Jon Christensen, the fact that Timpview is a heavy favorite just gives the Knights a chance for an early upset.

"We always like being the underdog," Christensen said. "We're going to come in with a chip on our shoulder. We know we have to execute our game well, and we'll have a good chance if we can just execute."

The game will be streamed live on KSL.com, and preceded by a half-hour pregame show beginning at 6:30 p.m. on KSL TV.
