THE INTERNET — Today's edition of the latest and greatest from across social media and the rest of the Internet brings us to the world of trick shots, which is a fantastic rabbit hole to venture down if you are bored and looking for something to do on YouTube late at night.
Dude Perfect is among the biggest trick shot specialists in the world — so big that they've even spawned their own parody group.
First, the real stars.
Teach me how to shoot 'em
Dude Perfect has made a lot of trick shot videos, many of them involving sports.
Is archery a sport? If you didn't think so before, you might now.
The quarter of sports-obsessed YouTubers took turns making impossible-looking shots with a bow-and-arrow, including putting out a candle, putting a basketball through a hoop with an arrow while wearing a bear suit, and pulling off a modern-day Robin Hood heist across the countryside.
That was … decent
The guys from Dude Perfect weren't the only ones with a new trick shot video on the Internet this past weekend.
A group of self-described "super bros" from YouTube group Vat19 made a video that features sports-themed shots using giant inflatable soccer balls, rolls of duct tape, and hitting golf balls off a roof. The results, then, were all mediocre trick shots in a parody video called Dude Decent.
The guys had one more-than-decent trick shot. But … well, see how they reacted to it for yourself.
Johnny come lately
New Kansas City Royal ace Johnny Cueto wasted little time in making an impact for his new team after being traded on deadline day last week.
Cueto spun nine scoreless innings for a four-hit shutout, helping the division-leading Royals to their first shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory over Detroit.
Even better, though, was the celebration photo caught on camera after the win.
