CEMENT, Okla. — A 13-year-old girl who lost her father to cancer in May released balloons with a note as his grave returned home a few hours later to find a surprise in her backyard.

Johnny Seibold was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2014, according kfor.com, and died in May at age 43. His 13-year-old daughter, Saige, was having a particularly hard time over Father's Day in June and decided to release a bunch of balloons with a handwritten note. The message included a tribute to Johnny and asked the finder to contact them.

After running a few errands with her mom, Sandy Seibold, they drove the 25 miles back to their home in Cement. Saige went out into her backyard — only to find the balloons tangled in a fence.

"What are the chances? I think I started crying," Sandy Seibold told 11alive.com. "It felt like a message from him."

And while Sandy and Saige are still mourning the death of Johnny, they say finding the note was freeing.

"This has given us a lot of peace and good feelings about where he's at," Sandy told kfor.com.
