VCBO Architecture was going to present its plans to the Lehi Planning Commission scheduled for Thursday but the church withdrew its request for the hearing.

Lehi residents protested when the LDS Church announced it would be demolishing the Thanksgiving Point driving range to replace it with two large office buildings. Over 300 residents attended a meeting with church officials last week, citing concerns such as code violations and traffic congestion.

"Lehi residents are hopeful that its vociferous opposition to these plans is heard," Lehi Utah City Council candidate Bill Conley said in a statement. "It also demonstrates that residents are highly interested in having a say on issues that impact their communities."

The LDS Church has not yet requested a future hearing date and communicated that no statement will be issued for the time being.
