SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A former Utah English teacher convicted of sexually abusing three male students will get her first chance at parole in January 2017.
Utah Board of Pardons and Parole spokesman Greg Johnson said Monday that the board has set a tentative hearing date for 36-year-old ex-Davis High School teacher Brianne Altice.
She was sentenced in July to at least 2 years and up to 30 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to three counts of forcible sexual abuse.
Prosecutors say one of the boys was 16 and two were 17 when she had sex with them. Altice has been jailed since January after allegations emerged that she continued a sexual relationship with one of the boys after her initial arrest.
She got credit for time served.
