SALT LAKE CITY — A man driving a motorcycle is in critical condition after hitting a vehicle on I-15 Sunday.
A vehicle traveling northbound I-15 was attempting to exit the freeway on the 900 South off-ramp when a motorcycle attempted to pass the vehicle in speeds near 100 mph, according to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Chad Carter.
The motorcycle side-swiped the vehicle and was forced off the roadway toward the 1300 South off-ramp, Carter said.
The man driving the motorcycle was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. No one in the other vehicle was injured in the incident.
The off-ramp near the incident was closed for approximately one hour Sunday while investigators and officers cleared the scene.
