IDAHO FALLS — Bonneville County Sheriff's Office has ruled out a lead they received Monday night concerning a missing Idaho Falls toddler.

According to Sgt. Jeff Edwards, a woman at the Ammon Wal-Mart called the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office around 3:45 p.m. She told detectives she spotted a boy she believed could have been Deorr Kunz Jr. with a man. The two-year-old disappeared while camping with his family in Leadore, Idaho on Friday.

Edwards said detectives have reviewed Wal-Mart surveillance video and investigated the tip. Tuesday afternoon they determined the lead was unfounded and the child was not Deorr.

The search for Deorr began Friday when his parents, Deorr Kunz Sr. and Jessica Mitchell, say their son vanished from their campsite.

According to a Salmon Search and Rescue news release, the 911 Dispatch Center received a call from family members at 2:35 p.m. on July 10 that their 2-year-old son was missing. The family told authorities he had been gone for an hour.

The sheriff's office issued a news release Sunday night, which reported "a comprehensive search of a radius of 2.5 miles from the campground has been completed by Search and Rescue staff."

The Lemhi County Sheriff's Office says extensive search and rescue operations have been suspended but investigators are still looking for the boy.

Deorr's family is asking the public to share a poster featuring photos of their son in hopes he will be found soon.

The child was described as having blond shaggy hair and wearing a camo jacket, wearing blue pajama style pants and cowboy boots.

In an interview with EastIdahoNews.com, Deorr's parents, said they believe their son is still alive.

A candlelight vigil was held for Deorr Monday night in Idaho Falls. The boys parents asked the public to share photos of their son on social media. They also requested people print and display posters.
