FARMINGTON — A man who was hit by a car in a crosswalk in June died Sunday, police said.

West Jordan resident Tom Stockebrand, 63, was crossing a busy pedestrian crosswalk near Farmington Junior High School at 150 S. 200 West June 26 when he was hit by a vehicle travelling northbound. Stockebrand sustained serious head and extremities injuries, Farmington police Sgt. Bryant Ives.

Police do not believe the female driver was under the influence and said she was cooperating with investigators.

A GoFundMe account was set up for Stockebrand's funeral expenses.

According to the GoFundMe page, Stockebrand spent 15 days in the intensive care unit at University Hospital and had two cardiac arrests, liver and kidney failure and 37 fractures. He also suffered a severe head injury.

He then went into septic shock and was airlifted to another hospital shortly before he died at about 2 p.m.

Investigators will submit a report on the crash to the Davis County Attorney's Office, which will consider possible criminal charges, said Farmington Police Chief Wayne Hansen.
