SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Shell gas station convenience store Friday evening before fleeing on foot.

The man entered the store at 874 E. 1300 South around 6:50 p.m. and waited for customers to leave before running behind the counter and threatening the teller with a knife, according to Det. Greg Wilking with the Salt Lake City Police Department.

He then took an undisclosed amount of money from the till and exited the store, fleeing west, Wilking said.

The man is described as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with an average build. He has short dark hair, a dark beard and was wearing a white T-shirt with white shorts and white athletic shoes.
