SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake Bees catcher Jett Bandy has been named to the Pacific Coast League's roster for the Triple-A All-Star Game, which will be held July 15 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bandy is the fourth Bees catcher to be named an All-Star and the first at the position since Wil Nieves in 2004. The No. 31 selection in the 2011 MLB draft from the University of Arizona, Bandy has a team-high 37 RBIs and seven home runs for the Bees in 2015.

After spending two seasons with Double-A Arkansas, Bandy is hitting .269 at the midway point of the season with a .451 slugging percentage. He was also named a Texas League All-Star in 2013 as a member of the Travelers.

The 25-year-old native of West Hills, California, is the 33rd overall All-Star selection of the Bees. The roster of PCL All-Stars will face counterparts from the International League in the midsummer classic, which will be broadcasat live on MLB Network at 8 p.m. MT.
