OGDEN — The motorcyclist who was killed by a Frontrunner train Tuesday night has been identified.

Plain City resident Larry Carver, 72, was hit by the train just after hitting a lowered railroad arm, and died at the scene, according to Ogden police.

Carver was driving on 2nd Street near 530 West when he hit a crossing gate then crashed onto the train tracks.

One passenger and three Utah Transit Authorities were on the train when the accident occurred.
