From movies to real life, there are some pretty [impressive floor coverings](http://www.ksl.com/ad_logger/ad_logger.php?location=http://bit.ly/1R5R4Rn& sponsor=giantcarpetone) out there. Here's a list of seven very different carpets that are worth talking about.

Aladdin

It gets great gas mileage and is romantic and loyal. Who wouldn't want to own — or at least be friends with — Carpet from Disney's "Aladdin"? This resilent rug is a cross between a pet, a best friend and a confidant. It's the only way to fly.

Sacramento airport

Another favorite Flying Carpet — and this one is real — is in the Sacramento International Airport between Terminal A's parking garage and pedestrian bridge. It is a digital, aerial image woven into a woolen carpet displaying 50 miles of the Sacramento River that marries form and function into walkable public art.

Moss bath mat

Touching nature has a calming effect on our bodies, and it's refreshing to have plants indoors. Why not make yourself a moss bath mat and feel the earth under your feet without even leaving the house? The steam from the shower and the water that drips from your body provide enough moisture to keep this mat growing and alive.

Brussels' Flower Carpet

Floral designs have been popular in carpets for centuries. When you get to Belgium, a living carpet that is worth seeing is the Flower Carpet. Every other year, Brussels' Grand Place presents a "live rug" masterpiece in its plaza with an extraordinary design composed of 750,000 snuggly packed blooms that covers an amazing 19,000 square feet. It's great for photos and fragrance.

Boise State University

BSU started the trend of installing a not-green playing field to its football stadium back in 1986 — several schools have followed suit — and the Broncos won their first game on the "The Blue" 74-0. (Maybe the color threw off the opponents?) Since that time, the field has been replaced four times with different types of turf — but always blue. Although players call it The Blue, it also is nicknamed Smurf Turf. If you're not a Boise State fan, that's a lot of blue. However, in October of 2014, BSU's blue field topped USA Today's Fan Index list of top 10 best fields in college football.

Red carpet

One of the most iconic of colored carpets is Hollywood's red carpet — although it has been welcoming dignitaries much longer than the Oscars have been around. The international symbol of rolling out the red carpet was first mentioned in "Agamemnon" by Aeschylus, written in 458 BC, and is used today to show respect for major events and celebrated guests.

Mutt Cutts

The dog-shaped, carpet-covered van from "Dumb and Dumber" is over the top, but makes the list for notable use of carpet. If your goal is to be remembered, Lloyd and Harry have that locked up with their dog van.
