SALT LAKE CITY — A man was hospitalized in critical condition Monday after he was stabbed outside St. Vincent De Paul resource center, 235 S. Rio Grande St.

An argument began between two men about 10 a.m. that escalated to blows and eventually one man was stabbed on the side of his chest, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Michael Ross.

The other man fled on foot until police apprehended him, Ross said. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
